Another week, Another Post !

GOOD MORNING!

This week I have decided to post not what I’m doing but why I’m doing it all. It all came very clear to me this weekend when I did a few deliveries and after a few laughs, hugs, and tears, I realized no matter how large or little my profit is, at the end each order if I can achieve the ultimate goal of making someone’s day or week a little bit better I have done my job. The way I see it, flowers are a timeless gift, some people have this idea of giving the gift flowers is a waste based on the fact that in a week or two these flowers will die. Yes, flowers don’t last forever but that feeling that someone thought about you enough to make such a simple, sweet gesture will last a long time.

I ended the day doing a personal delivery to my biggest inspiration, my sweet grandmother. Someone that has been my biggest supporter from the day I was born. My grandma has been to every dance recital, soccer, ringette, and hockey game. She has never missed a birthday, Christmas, or any day important to me. Bringing her flowers every week and achieving that genuine smile is only a fraction of what she means to me.

A few years ago my grandma has suffered a stroke and has since been put in a nursing home, I walk in and some of the residents don’t have what my grandma has, No one to visit, and no one to think of them each day. Now I bet you if you think quickly right now there is someone that you care about that doesn’t know you are thinking about them, and they should. If that be flowers, great! I can help you out with that, but above all, just let them know, somehow. My decision to move forward with my little company has allowed me to be an even just a small part in making someone smile, and that’s cool with me!

Thank you all again for your support in my new project!  Up next is Easter (my favorite day to do flowers!) If you are interested in a centerpiece for your Easter table please feel free to request an order @ kimberleepaigemalin@gmail.com  check out some Easter centerpieces I've made for my mom!

February :)

<3
Everywhere I go it seems that a lot more people are viewing my posts, I have gotten a lot of compliments so far on how much they like my work! I’m so thankful to all of you that have taken the time to appreciate something I love to do! That being said, it’s February and the stores are covered with hearts and pink and red roses. Make sure you keep looking back this week for some sweet little Valentine’s Day designs. If you have any inquiries for Valentine’s Day please contact me at kimberleepaigemalin@gmail.com

This Week we celebrated my boyfriends’ mama’s birthday, so much fun, probably too much fun !  But I decided I was going to go a little outside of the box and create something I never have before. In the photo below you will see my sweet daisy ball. As soon as I saw the base for this arrangement, I knew exactly what I was going to do with it. I used a clay pot topped with faux moss anchoring a wooden dowel and the daisy ball I have created on top. I accented with a cool beetle juice striped bow and the letter N (the first letter of her name) to top it off with that extra “wow” factor. I was pretty proud of this display! Ch – ch eck it out !

I also designed these next two pieces that would work PERFECT for a valentine’s display. As mentioned before I will have a V-Day special on some cool cost effective arrangements coming SOON ! Any requests or comments you can send directly to my E-mail
( kimberleepaigemalin@gmail.com ) or in the comments below

Birthday fun weekend!

This week I had a little bit of technical difficulties with the camera I usually use so the pictures aren't the greatest quality!

This weekend was my parent's birthday! Yes, both born on the same day (very convenient) :)  My dads not that into the whole flower thing so I decided I would work with my moms favorite style and color of her birthday centerpiece!

Yellow is my moms favorite color, her favorite flower is the sun flower, and because those aren't in season I decided to work with these mini gerbera daisies which sort of look like little sunflowers. I used a European hand tied technique in a clear vase which causes the stems to create that twist effect, I think it looks pretty cool on the table.  Check em' out!!!  ❤

Have the happiest Monday everyone  :)

Momma's choice weekend project

Hey Guys ! Welcome back!

This weekend I decided I wanted to do something with a little more color. One of my favorite color trends right now is bright pinks with lots of greens and accenting with something GOLD ! My first project was a bouquet with a gold vase and a variety of  pink flowers with an assortment of greens. love having flowers like this in my house because it stands out, no matter who comes to your house its sure to get noticed.

This next piece is one my beautiful mother requested! This type of arrangement is one I have fun doing, and looks great with my Mom's cozy decor!  An arrangement like this is awesome as a gift because its easy to transport! Check it out! Always feel free to toss me a quick e-mail, or comment.

I just want to end this week with a quick thank-you for everyone who has checked out my first post! I almost have 400 views! I have received such great support and feedback off of one post I can't wait to show you more !

See you next week !

My Sweet & Simple Wedding Weekend Project

Hello Beautiful People !

Everyone loves weddings! This weekend I took on the challenge of creating some simple, elegant bridal pieces. The cool thing about doing bridal bouquets and arrangements is you can be totally outside of the box or very simple, both can look amazingly beautiful on that special day. I’m hoping to show you guys some fun colorful designs but for this weekend bridal project I kept it classic, beautiful, and budget friendly.

The white rose is traditionally considered the “wedding flower”. This flower is romantic and beautiful on its own which is why I decided to make my first bride bouquet with 24 white roses. I accented each rose with a small pearl and pink ribbon handle instead of adding fillers and greenery. This type of bouquet will look beautiful with any bride, and will be sure to accent perfectly and not over power the bride.

Bridesmaid bouquets should be sure to not outshine the bride’s bouquet, and I believe should always be a little bit different. I decided to go with white hydrangeas and a few white roses. Hydrangeas have always been one of my favorites to work with because of the large volume of sweet little blooms on just one stem. Hydrangeas also have great big beautiful leaves on them which works as greenery on your arrangements or of course in this case, my bridesmaid bouquet.  I again, accented this bouquet with a pretty pink handle to match the bride.
Centerpieces are my Specialty! I love them! For those of you who follow me on Instagram (kimberleemalin) you may have seen some of my work in the past. Centerpieces are one of the things in a wedding that catch your guest’s attention. This centerpiece is what I would consider to be very pretty, matching my bouquets, I have tied a simple bow around the vase to match the theme of my flowers.

Well That's It ! there is my simple wedding weekend wrap up! be sure to let me know what you think in the comments below, or contact me at Kimberleepaigemalin@gmail.com ! I hope you enjoyed my first post! I can't wait to get my hands on some more flowers this week :D

WELCOME!

Well hello there!

For those who are unaware of my existence, I will start this blog off by telling you guys a wee bit about myself. Well, my name is Kimberlee Paige Malin, I was born and raised in St.Albert, Alberta, my favorite color is green, I'm a hockey fan, and I love pizza more than I love most things. And those of you who don't know me, I find me at my best while working with flowers, which is the reason for me writing today. It all started when I was 13 years old, my parents opened up a little flower shop called Lazy Daisy Flower Boutique, although I was young, I took to designing bouquets and arrangements quite naturally. Even after my family has since moved on from the shop my love for flower arranging still remains strong. It's been too long since I have been able to share my love of flowers with people, so here's where I am going to start. The purpose of my blog is to share one of my creations with you every week. I truly feel flowers are a timeless gift that are sometimes overlooked by bigger and grander gestures. My goal is to be able to personally design something for you, or your lover, or friend,  or whomever may need that extra something in their life. I hope you guys enjoy the different styles and designs I have to show you, and always feel free to make suggestions on future designs! :)

Love Always,
Kimberlee Paige
