Birthday fun weekend!

This week I had a little bit of technical difficulties with the camera I usually use so the pictures aren't the greatest quality!

This weekend was my parent's birthday! Yes, both born on the same day (very convenient) :)  My dads not that into the whole flower thing so I decided I would work with my moms favorite style and color of her birthday centerpiece!

Yellow is my moms favorite color, her favorite flower is the sun flower, and because those aren't in season I decided to work with these mini gerbera daisies which sort of look like little sunflowers. I used a European hand tied technique in a clear vase which causes the stems to create that twist effect, I think it looks pretty cool on the table.  Check em' out!!!  ❤

Have the happiest Monday everyone  :)

Momma's choice weekend project

Hey Guys ! Welcome back!

This weekend I decided I wanted to do something with a little more color. One of my favorite color trends right now is bright pinks with lots of greens and accenting with something GOLD ! My first project was a bouquet with a gold vase and a variety of  pink flowers with an assortment of greens. love having flowers like this in my house because it stands out, no matter who comes to your house its sure to get noticed.

This next piece is one my beautiful mother requested! This type of arrangement is one I have fun doing, and looks great with my Mom's cozy decor!  An arrangement like this is awesome as a gift because its easy to transport! Check it out! Always feel free to toss me a quick e-mail, or comment.

I just want to end this week with a quick thank-you for everyone who has checked out my first post! I almost have 400 views! I have received such great support and feedback off of one post I can't wait to show you more !

See you next week !

My Sweet & Simple Wedding Weekend Project

Hello Beautiful People !

Everyone loves weddings! This weekend I took on the challenge of creating some simple, elegant bridal pieces. The cool thing about doing bridal bouquets and arrangements is you can be totally outside of the box or very simple, both can look amazingly beautiful on that special day. I’m hoping to show you guys some fun colorful designs but for this weekend bridal project I kept it classic, beautiful, and budget friendly.

The white rose is traditionally considered the “wedding flower”. This flower is romantic and beautiful on its own which is why I decided to make my first bride bouquet with 24 white roses. I accented each rose with a small pearl and pink ribbon handle instead of adding fillers and greenery. This type of bouquet will look beautiful with any bride, and will be sure to accent perfectly and not over power the bride.

Bridesmaid bouquets should be sure to not outshine the bride’s bouquet, and I believe should always be a little bit different. I decided to go with white hydrangeas and a few white roses. Hydrangeas have always been one of my favorites to work with because of the large volume of sweet little blooms on just one stem. Hydrangeas also have great big beautiful leaves on them which works as greenery on your arrangements or of course in this case, my bridesmaid bouquet.  I again, accented this bouquet with a pretty pink handle to match the bride.
Centerpieces are my Specialty! I love them! For those of you who follow me on Instagram (kimberleemalin) you may have seen some of my work in the past. Centerpieces are one of the things in a wedding that catch your guest’s attention. This centerpiece is what I would consider to be very pretty, matching my bouquets, I have tied a simple bow around the vase to match the theme of my flowers.

Well That's It ! there is my simple wedding weekend wrap up! be sure to let me know what you think in the comments below, or contact me at Kimberleepaigemalin@gmail.com ! I hope you enjoyed my first post! I can't wait to get my hands on some more flowers this week :D

WELCOME!

Well hello there!

For those who are unaware of my existence, I will start this blog off by telling you guys a wee bit about myself. Well, my name is Kimberlee Paige Malin, I was born and raised in St.Albert, Alberta, my favorite color is green, I'm a hockey fan, and I love pizza more than I love most things. And those of you who don't know me, I find me at my best while working with flowers, which is the reason for me writing today. It all started when I was 13 years old, my parents opened up a little flower shop called Lazy Daisy Flower Boutique, although I was young, I took to designing bouquets and arrangements quite naturally. Even after my family has since moved on from the shop my love for flower arranging still remains strong. It's been too long since I have been able to share my love of flowers with people, so here's where I am going to start. The purpose of my blog is to share one of my creations with you every week. I truly feel flowers are a timeless gift that are sometimes overlooked by bigger and grander gestures. My goal is to be able to personally design something for you, or your lover, or friend,  or whomever may need that extra something in their life. I hope you guys enjoy the different styles and designs I have to show you, and always feel free to make suggestions on future designs! :)

Love Always,
Kimberlee Paige
